VISION - Is the building ministry for the AFLC Schools

Who We Are:
The Association Free Lutheran Schools' include: 1.) The Association Free Lutheran Theological Seminary (AFLTS), an intensive four-year degree granting post-graduate ministry preparation program. 2.) The Association Free Lutheran Bible School (AFLBS), a two-year Bible school/spiritual life skills training program that teaches applied theology--preparing students for ministry in church or secular roles.

From the inception of the seminary in 1964 and AFLBS in 1966, we've focused on helping students develop spiritual roots and equipping them for service. As a result, most of our graduates are actively engaged in ministry--bringing countless numbers to faith in Christ. For a better understanding of who we are and what we mean to students, please come and visit.

Our Situation:
Both schools are experiencing significant growth because of our stance on the Inspired inerrant Word of God, our excellent faculty and the passion of our alumni. In the last several years, enrollments have increased, pushing our current faculty and facilities to the limit. With our current status adequate for about 145 students, we have a growing need for more faculty and new facilities.

Our Solution:
Facility Expansion. In January of 1997 our board and faculty completed a strategic planning process. As a result, the schools determined to cultivate further growth and to expand the facilities on our current suburban Minneapolis campus. This expansion includes additional seminary housing, a gymnasium/auditorium and dormitories.  A student center was completed in 2004 and additional seminiary housing was completed in January of 2007.
