Association Free Lutheran Bible School
Teaching the Word. Training Servants. Transforming Lives.
► Academically Distinctive The two-year Bible track includes courses from Genesis to Revelation plus related studies in evangelism, discipleship, missions, prayer, apologetics, church history, and music. Our pastor professors work diligently to provide the best Biblical training on a deeply personal level for each student. AFLBS holds classes each morning from eight o'clock to noon. For students seeking to continue their education beyond Bible School, several major colleges and universities accept AFLBS credits.
► Affordable Tuition At AFLBS, we are committed to providing the best value possible for our students. The cost to attend is approximately $8,960 per year and includes tuition, room, and board. The consistent morning class schedule allows students to find part-time employment at many different locations near the school. Students may apply for scholarships, as well, to help defray the costs.
► Tradition of Music Excellence The Music Department at AFLBS maintains a long tradition of excellence and continues to hold a prominent place at our school. We have two choirs, Concert Choir and Proclaim Choir; an Instrumental Ensemble; and several student-led Gospel Teams. Both choirs travel on a national or international tour each spring. The music teams perform for and minister to congregations, nursing homes, campus chapel services, special events, and summer camps. AFLBS also offers private instrumental and voice lessons. Our student-led Gospel Teams that center on music ministry include Women’s Trio, Men’s Quartet, Mixed Quartet, Women’s Ensemble, Mixed Ensemble, and Worship Team. All these teams are available to serve and minister in various capacities throughout the year. ► Intercollegiate Athletics In our men's, women's, and co-ed sports, we strive for the students to develop personal character and an attitude of excellence in developing leadership skills. We offer intramural sports in volleyball, softball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee. Men's and women's basketball teams participate in the NIAC conference and ACCA national tournaments. Our women's team won nationals in ‘04 and ‘06. Our coaches are committed to Jesus Christ and desire to see every team member reach their full potential.
► Music & Service Ministry Teams Our teams are an important part of our outreach to communities and congregations. AFLBS students have a passion for service and the many ministry opportunities that Gospel Teams provide. These teams minister through music, evangelism, visitation, puppet ministry, and local congregation involvement. Each year the dynamic missions emphasis works an important transformation in each student.
