AFLBS Overview

IMG_0193AFLBS is a two-year college-level school of the Bible in Minneapolis. It’s a place for students to grow deep in their relationship with God and the knowledge of His Word.

Founded in 1966, AFLBS exists to establish students in the eternal and inerrant Word of God for a life of faith in Jesus Christ and faithful service in His Kingdom.

AFLBS is nestled on the shores of Medicine Lake in the beautiful Minneapolis suburb of Plymouth, Minnesota.

Solid Bible Teaching

From the time you move onto campus until the day you graduate, you will grow deep in the Word of God. Our pastor-teachers will guide you in the truths of Scripture. From 8 until noon on any given day, you’ll experience thought-provoking discussions, dynamic lectures, and countless insights into the books of the Bible. Our two-year Bible program will take you from Genesis to Revelation, with stops in between to learn about church history, evangelism, discipleship, missions, music, and various topics of Christian living.

Christ-Centered Community

Whether it’s late night conversations with your roommate, watching an AFLBS Conquerors basketball game, or exploring downtown Minneapolis with friends, you’ll quickly experience real Christian fellowship. Community life at AFLBS is refreshing, Christ-centered, and authentic. It’s a chance for you to get to know other Christians like never before, as you live out your faith together.

Ministry Experience

At AFLBS, you’ll find many ways to put your faith into practice. Whether it’s through one of our choirs or gospel team, partnering with an inner-city ministry, or volunteering in a local congregation, you will grow and be stretched. Get plugged in to a local church by teaching Sunday school or Wednesday night kid’s club. Use your musical gifts to play on the AFLBS worship team or join a vocal ensemble. Whatever your gifting, you’ll learn to serve Jesus through countless ministry experiences.

Choir and Gospel Teams

Choir, gospel teams, and summer ministry teams are great opportunities for students to minister to individuals and congregations. Tour the U.S. for two weeks in the spring with the Concert Choir or join the Proclaim Choir and visit churches in the Midwest. If evangelism is on your heart, join the Urban Ministry Team for street outreach in downtown Minneapolis on the weekends. Our eight gospel teams minister through music and testimonies, puppet and drama ministry, nursing home outreach, and street evangelism.
