When I came to MTI, I had high hopes of what I wanted to do.  It didn't take long for God to teach me that those plans I had weren't necessarily His, and that He has a lot of work yet to do in my heart.  I've been convicted of the fact that, no matter how much I may act and talk like it, Jesus Christ has not been first in my life.  I've allowed many other things to take control, and all of that is found in one word: self.  But He continues to urge me to deny myself, take up my cross and follow Him.  He's been using Psalm 62 in my life a lot right now.  "My soul waits in silence for God only; from Him is my salvation.  He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken."  He alone, and no other, is my rock and salvation.  There is no other for my soul to wait for.  It's hard and slow to learn, but God continues to show His love and patience with me.  He is good, very good.  – Jordan Rumohr
